Bogolan: cloth painted with mud.

Propose a project

Bogolanfini is Mali’s mud cloth: cotton dyed with plants, then painted, line by line, with fermented mud. With artisans in Mali we translated Carlos Amorales’ forms into the technique.

Dreamachine, cotton painted with mud, 160 × 120 cm, was shown at Albarrán Bourdais, Madrid, in 2024.
